RENFREW WAR MEMORIAL DEDICATION
1st June 2013
In memory of Lance Corporal James 'Doc' Murdoch - 3 PARA:

Twelve members of the Central Scotland Branch PRA attended along with their Standards for this very fitting service.
The service was led by the Moderator of the Church of Scotland and he was joined by the Murdoch family including his mother and other dignitaries
They were also fortunate to have Donny McDonald, who fought in this campaign alongside Doc Murdoch.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lance Corporal James Hamilton 'Doc' Murdoch, from Renfrew, Scotland, served with the 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment and took part in the Falklands campaign in 1982 and died after being wounded during the Battle for Mount Longdon on 12 June 1982, aged 25 years old.
He is now buried at Arkleston Cemetery, Paisley, Scotland.
